VisaSponsors UK

How It Works

VisaSponsors UK makes the UK government's visa sponsor data actually useful.

What is this?

The UK Home Office publishes a register of every company licensed to sponsor a work visa. Over 120,000 organisations are on it, updated almost daily. But it comes as a raw spreadsheet with no filtering, no industry tags, and no job listings.

VisaSponsors UK downloads that spreadsheet every day, adds industry information, company size, logos, and website links, and presents it as a searchable directory with real job listings from those companies.

Three steps to find a sponsor

1

Search and filter sponsors

Use the search bar and filters to find companies in your industry and city that can sponsor your visa route. Filter by A-rating, company size, or whether they have active job listings.

2

Research the company

Each sponsor has a profile page with their licence details, visa routes, Companies House info, and any active job listings from Adzuna or Reed.

3

Apply directly

Click through to the job listing and apply. Set up job alerts to get an email when new matching roles appear at licensed sponsors.

Frequently asked questions

What is a licensed visa sponsor?

A licensed visa sponsor is a UK employer authorised by the Home Office to hire workers from overseas on a work visa. They appear on the official register of licensed sponsors, which is what powers this platform.

What does an A-rating mean?

Sponsors are rated A or B. An A-rating means the company is in full compliance with sponsorship duties. A B-rating means they're under scrutiny and must follow an action plan. Sticking to A-rated sponsors is generally safer.

What visa routes are available?

The most common route is the Skilled Worker visa. Others include the Health and Care Worker visa, Intra-Company Transfer, Seasonal Worker, and several Temporary Worker routes. Each company lists which routes they support.

Is all of this data free?

Yes. The sponsor register is published daily by the UK government as open data. We download it every day, add extra information, and make it searchable.

How often is data updated?

We check the official Home Office register every day and automatically import any changes. New sponsors, removed sponsors, and rating changes typically show up within 24 hours of being published by the government.
